Job Description

Our client is a leading Australian naturopathic pet health brand has a strong growing naturopathic range and now being joined by a naturopathic raw food and Aquatics range. This role gives you the opportunity to expand your skills in multiple areas of the pet industry. You will be dealing with a range of customers from independent stores, through to the major chains and distributors.

To succeed in this role, you must be outgoing, commercially savvy and have a "can do" attitude, ready to embrace the pet health segment with energy and dedication.
Covering a large territory, you will be responsible for VIC/SA/WA, as well as communicating with regional stores throughout the states. You must enjoy being on the road including a few nights away from home every 8 to 12 weeks.

You must have excellent communication and presentation skills to ensure you are able to build positive relationships with your customer base. Whilst being able to work autonomously, you will also work closely with our client’s head office based in Outer South East Melbourne.

Key Experience & Skills

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 3 years on the road merchandiser representative experience.

  • Pet industry experience - Not essential but highly regarded

  • Ability to building strong customer relationships with both retailers and distributors.

  • Execute sales strategies.

  • Delivering training to retail stores supporting our client’s products in Herbal Medicines, Raw Foods, and Aquarium.

  • Deliver growth in sales for both Pet health and food categories.

  • Be tech savvy and have excellent literary skills.

  • Have strong communication skills.

  • Manage the VIC, SA & WA Territory.  Travel may be included.

  • Driving growth in your region through promotional plans, distribution, and call coverage.

  • Work with current distributors to source and maximise sales opportunities at store level.

  • Ensure delivery of agreed KPI's including call coverage, cold calls, new business development, range extensions and promotions.
